18. Quantum Plan Restrictions

You cannot downgrade an existing site to this plan. Regardless of the plan the site is currently hosted on, you’ll notice that the Quantum plan will be locked and not available for selection if you choose to downgrade the hosting plan.

You can only add one custom Domain to a site hosted on this plan, including both the www and non-www versions of the domain. Once you have added those 2 versions of a custom domain, the Add Domain button will be locked.

The ability to create SFTP or SSH users is not available for sites hosted on this plan.

To reduce the server load for sites hosted on this plan, several of the features under the Hosting > Tools tab in the Hub are either limited or not available.

Nightly Backups are enabled by default for sites hosted on all plans, including Quantum.

However, you cannot trigger manual backups on this plan, and the Hourly Backups addon is not available.

Under the Hosting > Analytics tab, you can view information about the Storage used and site Traffic only.

The Live Stats are not available for sites on this plan.

The Staging environment is not available for sites hosted on this plan.

The following Logs are available for all sites hosted on this plan:

• PHP
• Access
• Slow
• Audit

The WAF log is not available as the WAF is not available. See Hosting Tools > WAF above.

Sites hosted on this plan are limited to only one email account. You can however create as many email forwarders as you like.

In addition, WordPress Transactional emails are limited to 75/day or 1500/month.

All themes from wordpress.org are allowed on the Quantum plan, and you can upload themes via Themes > Add New > Upload in the site’s wp-admin.

Note that if a theme comes with its own integrated page builder, like Divi for example, that will work just fine.

However, if the theme comes packaged with a page builder as a separate addon plugin, you would not be able to activate that plugin unless it’s in the list of allowed plugins below.

As Quantum sites have rather limited resources, plugins can only be installed from wordpress.org via Plugins > Add New in the site’s wp-admin. You cannot upload plugins to Quantum sites.

Plugins that can be installed are limited to those we have determined to have little to no negative impact on performance. Plugins that cannot be installed on Quantum sites will have a Not Available label in place of the Install Now button in your site’s wp-admin.

Of course, all WPMU DEV free and Pro plugins can be installed on Quantum sites except Snapshot Pro and Shipper Pro plugins.
